Similarities & Differences (4) :
- Comparing: Finding the similarities & differences between two or more things or ideas. EX: Compare & contrast girls & boys. Similarites - They both are humans. They both are living organisms. They both are mammals. They both have a beating heart. Differences - Girls have menstrual cylces & boys dont. Boys are more active than girls. Girls go through pregnancy & boys dont.
- Classifying: Organize things by their similarities into groups. EX: A teacher has given a group of students to organize a bag of toys. The bag contains a variety of toys which the students chose to organize by size. The students came up with three groups. Small Toys, Medium Toys & Big Toys.
- Metaphors: A figure of speech that is applied to an object or an action. EX: "Our love can move mountains" means that their love is so strong it can withstand anything.
- Analogies: Comparison of two things for better understaning. EX: Feet is to Walk as to Mouth is to Eat.
Setting Objectives :
Setting Objectives is when teachers set a learning guide for students to grasp on. Every day at school, teachers set up objectives in the classroom for students to know what they will be learning about. Teachers read out the objectives to the students & explain what will be learned in class for the students to full understand even more.
Reinforcement Efforts & Providing Recognition :
Reinforcing Efforts is a process that involves explicity teaching students about the relationship between effort & achievement & acknowledging students' effort when they work hard to achieve. Providing Recognition is the process of acknowledging students' attainment of specific goals.

Many of my teachers has used this strategies in class. Wether it came to individual or even group work. Using any of this strategies has helped me learn something even more. I understand my work even more by using them.
